Happy Hearts for Caregivers
If you are helping a parent or spouse decide, you are probably the one asking the careful questions. Good. Here are honest answers about whether this is legitimate, what it costs them, how their privacy is handled, and whether it works if they are not big on technology.
Vet it the way
you would want to.
Happy Hearts is a heart health service that takes part in a Medicare program called the ACCESS Model. It is not a cold-call offer. You can read exactly why it is real and how to check it yourself, then decide whether to set it up for your parent.

What will it cost my parent?
If your parent qualifies through Original Medicare, there is no cost to them for the program. We show what is included before anyone signs up, so there are no surprise costs and no credit card. If anything would ever cost money, we would say so before they agreed to it.
We say “no cost” on purpose, to be exact about what is and is not covered. You can read the plain-English version of what that means in our resources.
Is my parent's health information kept private?
Your parent's health information is theirs. We do not sell it, and we do not share it without their say. They decide who sees their readings — for example, their own doctor, or you, if they choose to share with you.
You can read the details of how we handle information on our privacy page. We would rather you check than take it on trust.
Will it work if my parent is not tech-savvy?
Yes. The blood pressure monitor works the moment you open the box. You put the cuff on the upper arm, press one button, and the reading appears. To get the full benefit, with readings explained in plain language and tracked over time, the app connects to the monitor through a one-time Bluetooth pairing. The app walks your parent through every step: no Wi-Fi, no passwords, no typing. And if they get stuck, a real person can help.
If your parent would rather skip the app entirely, the monitor still shows each reading right on its own screen. There is a phone number in the box if they would prefer to talk to a real person through the setup. You can see exactly how it works before you decide.
How does it fit with my parent's own doctor?
Happy Hearts does not replace your parent's doctor. Their own doctor stays in charge. We support what they are already doing. Between regular visits, your parent can keep an eye on their numbers at home, and share a summary with their doctor whenever they like.
Tracking the numbers does not change anyone's health on its own. What it can do is help your parent and their doctor spot patterns and talk about them — which usually means fewer surprises and clearer appointments.
Heart health is not really about a number. It is about being there for the ordinary moments. Helping a parent keep an eye on things is one quiet way to look out for them.
If you decide it is a fit, leave your details and a real person will follow up. You can help your parent through it, or pass them along once you are satisfied it is sound.
